Dutchie E-Commerce: Collections enhancements, Mobile App updates, fixes
Here’s what’s new and coming soon to Dutchie E-Commerce. Subject to change.
Dutchie E-Commerce
Enhancement
The Collections condition builder now supports weight-range (min/max) conditions and a unit selector for THC/CBD potency conditions, so collections can be built around a weight range or a potency threshold in the correct unit instead of only exact matches.
Fixes
We're deploying fixes for the following issues:
Checkout & Payments
At checkout, when Pay by Bank was enabled for some fulfillment types but not the one selected (e.g. enabled for pickup but not delivery), the "Pay now" tab could still appear pre-selected and disabled, with the order silently submitting as a cash order instead.
Storefront & Menu
A non-cannabis item could sort as the highest-potency product on the menu.
On a slow mobile connection, the storefront's age gate could fail to appear if the dispensary's remote theme loaded after a short timeout; the timeout has been raised and the app now applies a late-arriving theme instead of leaving the page in a stale state.
Sorting a large menu by price could be slow, since every uncached request re-fetched and re-sorted the entire filtered product set instead of reusing a cached sort order.
Loading a filtered category URL directly (e.g. a brand filter on Flower) while Sort by Relevance was enabled, clicking "All [Category]" didn't clear the active filters, leaving the shopper stuck on the filtered page.
Discounts & Specials
A medical-only special could show on recreational product cards.
Admin & Reporting
The product filter on the admin Past Orders page didn't persist the selected filter.
For dispensaries on the Treez integration, certain category fields weren't being targeted correctly when syncing through the API.
Partner & Embedded Menus
On merchant sites embedding the Dutchie menu, the cart dropdown, modals, and back-to-top button could be mispositioned or could intercept taps meant for the page underneath, on host pages with stacked or bottom-anchored sticky elements (most noticeable on mobile).
The Specials/Deals page's product grid used fixed-width columns on partner themes, leaving a large unused margin on wide screens instead of expanding to fill the available width.
A partner theme's custom Specials card styling didn't apply on category-filtered specials pages, falling back to the unstyled default card instead.
A partner theme's custom filter sidebar styling didn't apply on collection or brand pages, falling back to the unstyled default panel instead.
Loyalty
After phone-verified loyalty redemption went live broadly, online loyalty redemptions could be blocked at dispensaries that had never opted into that requirement, due to an unrelated integration configuration being read incorrectly.
Mobile App
Enhancements
Customers can now see their in-progress order's status via a Live Activity widget, instead of only inside the app.
The mobile app now applies a dispensary's customized Concierge Accent and Concierge Background colors (configured in Admin) to the Concierge experience, instead of always using default colors.
After signing up for (or skipping) Pay by Bank, new customers are now prompted to add a loyalty pass, for dispensaries with in-app loyalty passes enabled.
The dispensary charities round-up feature is now available at checkout in the mobile app, matching the existing web experience, for dispensaries with it enabled.
Product reviews and a review summary are now shown on the Product Detail Page in the mobile app, matching the reviews experience already on web.
Fixes
At a dispensary with a split medical/recreational menu, switching the active pricing type didn't remove items from the cart that only applied to the previous pricing type, allowing a mixed med/rec cart that shouldn't be possible.
Several small UI issues: the pricing type switcher at checkout could scroll when it shouldn't, the dispensary logo on app start could run edge-to-edge instead of with padding, and sponsored carousels on the product list page could run directly into the next card instead of leaving space.
On Android, the search bar could overlap the category header on the product list screen.
Vaporizer products could still appear in push notifications for dispensaries with vaporizer display disabled.
Guest checkout access could be lost when the app opened the hosted checkout WebView, since guest capability wasn't carried into that browser context.
Web checkout, embedded in the mobile app, didn't share login state with the rest of the app, requiring a separate sign-in.
Communication settings were shown even for customers at dispensaries without Dutchie POS, where those settings don't apply.
Removing every item from the web checkout cart could leave the "Keep Shopping" link pointing to a dead page.
An order could show a "Not Paid" status even when it wasn't a Pay by Bank order and the dispensary doesn't support Pay by Bank.
Order History showed an Online/In-Store tab toggle even for customers at dispensaries without Dutchie POS, where in-store orders don't apply.
Vape-related language could still appear in offer titles on the specials carousel.
A dispensary's app homepage icon could show the default Dutchie icon instead of their branded icon.
